A very warm welcome to Elham Church of England Primary School, which has been at the heart of Elham village for over one hundred years.

Starting a new school is exciting and it is important to find the right one for everyone as it becomes a significant part of our lives.  I feel privileged to have been appointed as Headteacher of this excellent school in September 2014.

We aim to provide the best learning environment for your children to grow and learn.  We are committed to supporting our children in becoming responsible and respectful members of a global community who build caring, respectful relationships with one another.

At Elham, we are proud of our caring and distinctly Christian ethos- we take pride in being open and friendly and encourage everyone to show respect to themselves and others, support each other and be inspirational in all they do.

We aim to provide many opportunities for our children in all curriculum areas and beyond.  We look to find something that will inspire them and provide them with a lifelong love of learning.

Our Forest School is a favourite place for our children to be.  They can learn in our roundhouse and the ancient woodland adjacent to our school.  They also love to be in the school gardens where we grow our fruits, vegetables and flowers.  Our school chickens are also famous!

Well-being and a good understanding of how to look after our mental health and others are central to what we teach here at Elham.
