A very warm welcome to Elham Church of England Primary School which has been at the heart of Elham village for over one hundred years.

Starting a new school is an important step for everyone as it becomes a major part of our lives.  I feel privileged to have been appointed as Headteacher of this amazing school from September 2014.

We aim to provide the very best learning environment for your children to grow and learn.  We are committed to supporting our children in becoming responsible and respectful members of a global community, who build caring, respectful relationships with one another.

At Elham we are proud of our caring and distinctly Christian ethos which is defined by our six distinct Christian values: kindness, humility, forgiveness, perseverance, wisdom and faithfulness. We take pride in being open and friendly.

We aim to provide many opportunities for our children in all areas of the curriculum and beyond.  We look to find something that will inspire them and provide them with a lifelong love of learning.

Our Forest School is a favourite place for our children to be.  They are able to learn in our roundhouse and the ancient woodland that is adjacent to our school.  They also love to be in the school gardens where we grow our own fruits, vegetables and flowers.  Our school chickens are also popular!

Well-being and a good understanding of how to look after our own mental health, as well as others, is central to what we teach here at Elham.

I hope that all the relevant information you might need is contained on our website, if you have any queries, or find you need more information, then please do not hesitate to contact us.  The best way to see what we do is to come and visit and I will happily show you around and introduce you to the Elham Primary School family!

Yours sincerely

Mr Dan File
