7.3.22
This week we have continued to round decimals and then use our skills to solve decimal problems. We wrote letters as our main character, Velu in English. We then gave peer feedback on each other's letters, which proved to be a really helpful task; looking for mistakes and suggesting ideas to help improve our writing. We started our new unit in DT; Puppets. The class were very enthusiastic at sharing knowledge and designing their own puppets. In RE we discussed how some Christians celebrate and remember Jesus and Maundy Thursday. We looked at symbols, such as fire in an Anglican church, Catholic pilgrimage to the Via Dolorosa (where Jesus carried the cross) and Easter eggs. Year 4s enjoyed their time at Forest school whilst Year 5s completed their second SRE lesson. Year 5s then did some team building activities, where team work and communication was needed. In science we made parachutes out of a range of materials and then tested their effectiveness.
