The chicks came to visit us on Friday afternoon, much to the delight of the children; they have trebled in size and are growing their flight feathers on their wings.

What have we learned this week?

'I learned my 10 x table.'

'I learned comparatives and superlatives: 'er' and 'est'.

'I learned that when a word ends in a 'y' if you want to add a suffix, you must change the 'y' into an 'i' before you add 'er' or 'est' for example, happy, happier, happiest.'

'I learned to write a report about snow leopard cubs.'

'I learned to draw insects by observing them closely with a magnifying glass.'

'I learned to write a simile about my daddy for Fathers' Day'.

'I drew a picture of my daddy for the Kent Messenger.'

'I learned to add and take away 11 from a two digit number.'
