This weeks 'star of the week' is Christian. We have been really impressed this week with your positive attitude to your learning. You have been demonstrating your creative talents too this week, your moving picture and the design of your bedroom for a baby were so imaginative. It has been really pleasing to see you grow in confidence and we are enjoying seeing your hand up in class contributing to our class discussions. Well done Christian.
In Topic this week we have been learning about the significance of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder plot. The children created these fabulous portraits of Guy Fawkes!
During snack time we watch News Round, the children's news programme and then have a story. One of the stories we have read this week was The Gruffalo. After we had read it we made playdough models of the Gruffalo and then drew pictures of him!
We have continued to make moving pictures in DT. We looked at lots of different books with moving parts and decided they made books much more fun and interesting. This week we made a slider!

Over this term and last we have learned all about the seasons, the weather and the directions (north, south, east, west). Today the chidlren put together their knowledge to produce sketches. Each of them had a turn at being the reporter, the weather expert, the camerman (or should I say person) and the child watching the TV. Sadly one of the weather forecasts was so long we could not upload it!
We have already started learning the Christmas songs for our Virtual Nativity Play and today we tried on our outfits. Here is a sneak preview!
