An angel has flown into our classroom! He told us his name is Gabriel.
We have made advent wreaths this week. The children have learnt that Advent is a period of time to prepare for the coming of Christ. They know there are four different candles, each one representing something different.
In maths we have continued with subtraction this week. The children have written some number sentences in their books and are using a number line to add and subtract.
In English we have started a Christmas Tree Spine Poem and the children will continue with this next week.
In DT this week the children planned their very own design for a Christmas card with a moving mechanism. Some of the ideas were very interesting! They will be making them next week.
We have continued working on subtraction in maths, the children made their own number lines to 10 to help them with their number sentences. They are becoming more confident when using a number line and even wrote some of their own number sentences.
