Ian from Kick Theatre visited us today and the children had a great time acting out parts of the story 'Cave Baby', which is one of our texts this term.

We have learned some new words in Science, all to do with the properties of materials: transparent, opaque, absorbant, waterproof, etc.  The children have tested the absorbancy of different materials and learned to record their results on a table.

The children have painted their pull along toys in DT - two coats of paint were needed.  Next week they will add their finishing touches!

Team work!

Programming beebots is really good fun.  The children have been combining four commands to get the beebot from one place to another.  They have had to learn that if they make a mistake then cannot simply pick the beebot up and put it in the correct place... they need to go back to the beginning, clear the programme and key in a new programme.

Number Day!

We have had a fantastic number day. We completed Buddy's challenge by answering lots of tricky maths questions which meant we could go and hunt for pieces of a broken key. We then had a lovely game of darts to round off the morning.

Fabulous costumes Hazel Class!

Music

Our day finished off with music, we got out Mrs Fitzgerald's favourite instrument, the glockenspiel (her ears just love them!) to practice our high and low pitch notes.
