We have taught the children to play dominos as prebviously they thought it was just a landslide game!

We have been learning the story of Moses and how he was saved from death by being hidden away in a basket.  The children made their own models of the story with jellybabies!

We have been practising our split digraphs. Aaron says he's absolutely brilliant at reading them.

Maths

Today we have been looking at halving. The children made playdough shapes and had to work out if they could be cut exactly in half. We then cut out paper shapes, it took a while for the children to realise these could be folded in half to find the middle line. 

Music

This morning we looked at the song 'A sailor went to sea'. We were quite surprised at how fast paced the song was in some parts! This reminded Mrs Fitzgerald and I of the clapping game to this song which we used to do at school (back in the day) so the children all had a go at learning this.
