Each week the children complete a times tables test.  They have 5 minutes to answer all the questions.  When full marks are gained, they move onto the next stage. 

At the end of Year 4 the children sit a statutory times tables test on a computer. 

Purple Mash have a times tables test similar to the one that the children sit.  

 

Bronze 1 = 50 questions - 2, 5 and 10s

 

Bronze 2 = 50 questions - 3, 4 and 6s

 

Bronze 3 = 50 questions - 7, 8 and 9s

 

Silver 1 = 50 questions - 2, 3, 4, and 5s times and divide

 

Silver 2 = 50 questions - 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12s times and divide

 

Silver 3 = 100 questions - All numbers to 12 times and divide

 

Gold 1 = 40 questions - Multiplication of larger numbers, 2 digit x 1 digit

 

Gold 2 = 30 questions - Multiplication and division of 3 digit by 1 digit numbers

 

Gold 3 = 30 questions - Multiplication of 2 digit by 2 digit numbers
