Silver Birch have had a fun packed week with lots of different activities and learning. At the beginning of the week they joined Beech class in the hall to research and design biscuits. A rather tasty experience and they are looking forward to making their own biscuits next week. As part of design the children have also been looking at and building bridges. Can they tell you the strongest shape to use?
In maths they have been practising column subtraction and multiplication as well as learning about different types of angles. See if they can remember the names of the three types we looked at and describe them to you.
In English the children described a river setting and used fronted adverbials.
We finished the week talking about bees and their importance to the world as part of our Science topic of plants. The children have designed a bee garden for the Radio 2 competition and have brought them home to finish. If they would like to enter this link below gives you the details you need. They have done really well and thought carefully about what bees need in the perfect garden.
