Sports day has been great fun. We spent the morning in our teams taking part in a variety of activities including egg and spoon races, sack races, basketball shoot out and go kart racing. We then had a running race and relay race. Well done to water (blue team) who scored the most points overall throughout the week.
Today we have had scooter races, we also raced the go-karts. Even Mrs Grady and Mrs Fitzgerald had a race!
This afternoon we played dodge ball. The children had great fun (so did the grown ups!)
I was so glad when I saw that Mrs Fitzgerald was star of the week last week! I had wanted to write something about her on the page because she is a truly wonderful TA and then I saw her lovely face smiling out at me! Last week when I had a migraine she stepped in straight away and spent all morning with the class. She is wonderfully efficient, kind to the children and so, so fair. Plus she always goes the extra mile, staying late most days and even offering to take work home. Very well done Mrs Fitzgerald and a HUGE thank you!
As you know, this week is sports week. The children are learning to do Speed Stacking imbetween the PE sessions that are being held outside.
The children enjoyed 'Wacky Olympics' and 'Fpxes amd Farmers' today.
Each child has been given a pedometer to track their steps during sports week.
