Term 6

Hello Beech class! Welcome to Term 6!

I hope you've been enjoying your half term and had lots of time outside with your family. I've been on a lot of dog walks with my girls - the views from the Downs have been amazing! My garden is looking great and I even had my first home-grown strawberry last week.

As some of year 6 will be returning on Monday, I will be working in their "bubble" with Mrs Slingsby. I will continue to upload work for you here and will be contactable by email as usual. Please keep going with your work - you have all done brilliantly so far! I've loved receiving your emails and photographs - it makes my day when I see photos of you with you big smiles enjoying your learning, and reading your work shows just how much effort you (and your parents!) have been putting in. Keep up the good work!

This term we will continue with the Hamilton Maths and English as they cover what we would be doing in school and have different options of difficulty for you to choose.

Above you will see a new tab for each new week..

In Science we will be focusing on outdoor learning with the Wildlife Trusts' "30 Days Wild" programme.

RE is focusing on "Life is a Journey", and for PE you will work on the Bikeability skills and some Team GB Olympic activities.

The subject for Topic continues with Rainforests and we will be looking at the impact of deforestation.

In PSHE we will look at a unit on "Living in the Wider World - Britain" which will teach us about communities, local and national government and respecting laws. In DT we will design and make a pencil case as well as creating some tasty salads.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with - we have lots of interesting things to study!

Best wishes to you and your families.

Mrs Strover
