Star of the week
This weeks 'star of the week' is Zoe. You could be star of the week every week Zoe, you are always ready to learn, you are kind and helpful and you always give 100% effort with everything you do. We enjoy hearing your contribution in class discussions and you recalled our talk for writing recount perfectly this week. Well done Zoe.
In English this week we have been rehearsing our talk for writing recount of a WOW day. See if your child can recall the recount and show you it along with the actions! Next week the children will begin to innovate their own recount of our WOW day in October.
Knowing your 'number bonds to ten' underpins a great deal of maths learning, especially adding and subtracting and we are spending this week trying to memorise our number bonds in as many different ways as possible. We have sung a song, used playdough, double sided counters, numicon, cubes and a great way to learn them at home is with smarties, especially if you get to eat them as a reward!

In PSHE we have been talking about the skills needed for different jobs. The children have told us all about what their parents do and discussed the skills involved. Here you can see them playing a guessing game, 'do you have to wear a uniform? do you have to be brave?' etc.
