We have had another great week in Acorn class. As well as watching our tadpoles we also have some caterpillars in class which we are going see turn into cocoons and then butterflies. We have all learnt the order of the life cycles and have done some super writing ordering the sequence. We can now write sentences with finger spaces and full stops.
The sounds we have learnt this week are ue and ure, fairly tricky but we are doing well with them.
In maths we have been using 10 frames and numicon quite a bit to learn our number bonds to 10. We have played some super games beginning to work within 20 and have thought about where we can find 3D shapes in the environment.
We have been outside quite a bit making the most of the weather and are enjoying all of the resources our outdoor area and forest school have to offer for child initiated learning.
