Welcome to Term 4!  This term our focus during Early Morning Work the children are working on ordering the days of the week and months of the year, compound nouns, sounding out words and blending to see if they are real or not, counting in tens, pencil control and cutting skills!

We are learning to thread, plait and weave in art and this week the children helped us to make looms!

Maths

We have been looking at the numbers 20,30,40 and 50 in maths today. We worked out how many tens and how many ones are each number. Our ten frame game was fun!

English

Today we recapped our story "Pig the Pug" then used non-fiction books to find out some interesting facts about other pets you can own. The children came up with "Scratch the Cat" "Thump the Rabbit" and "Peck the Parrot".

We worked sooo hard on our cursive writing on Thursday, a lot of gold awards were handed out!

Adults we can trust was the topic we were covering today. We looked at the difference between adults we know a little bit, adults we know well and strangers. It was lovely to hear that all the children have lots of adults they feel they can trust. We looked at different scenarios involving strangers and how to respond to these, there were lots of very sensible answers.
