It's National Book Week! We started off the week exploring a range of texts. The children really enjoyed having time to look at and read different books around the classroom. We can't wait to see their costumes on Friday!

In English this week, we have been learning about verbs. We went on a 'verb hunt' through our story Tadpole's Promise! The children then sequenced the story and wrote a thought bubble from the frog's perspective – including verbs! The children then really enjoyed acting out the story, taking it in turns to play the Tadpole and the Caterpillar! They are now creating a storyboard and retelling the story in their own words, using some of the key phrases used by the author.

In Maths this week, we finished our unit learning about Multiplication and Division. We have now started to learn about measuring. We have been learning how to use a ruler to measure accurately. Here are the children measuring some classroom objects in centimetres.
