Friday 6th May 2022

Good afternoon everyone from a very warm and sunny Elham. We have been enjoying playing outside today and the weather promises to stay lovely for the whole of next week. I'm sure some of you will be enjoying a barbecue or some time at the beach this weekend.

We have been working really hard this week revising for next week's SATs tests and we are all as ready as we can be. We all seem to be looking forward to Mr File's breakfasts from Monday to Thursday - they will certainly set us up for the day and give our brains plenty of fuel to see us through.

We have had a lot of fun designing and creating our own country websites this week and Mrs Godden is looking forward to seeing the end results in a couple of weeks' time. We have also been using our knowledge of how to conjugate (there's a big word for you!) -er verbs in French in order to write some simple sentences to create a short story. These we will write up in our own mini books next week, so look our for some photos of our work.

Merit badges this week went to Erin and Benjamin for super progress and showing more confidence in maths.  Gold Award went to Samuel for a beautiful picture of a cuckoo and to Arthur, Baptiste, Benjamin, Howie, Gabri'yel, Joe A, Beaumont and Owen for excellent photoframe designs using Tinkercad (Computer Aided Design software). Well done everyone!
