Happy New Year!

We hope you all had a restful break and are now ready for all the fun that 2024 will bring! Thank you for your kind Christmas cards and presents - we are always grateful for your generosity and kind thoughts.

This term we will be learning about Anglo Saxons and Vikings in Topic and in Science we will be learning about nutrition, skeletons and bones. In RE we will be thinking about what kind of world Jesus would want and in Art we'll be "growing artists"!

PE lessons begin on Wednesday 3rd and this term we have gymnastics in the hall - remember to wear your PE kit to school!

Please also remember to bring a coat to school every day as we always try to get outside for a fresh air break.

We have had a fantastic first week back at school! All of the children have been happy to return to school and have shown a brilliant attitude to learning - well done!

Art!

We have started a new topic in Art this term: Growing Artists. This week we were learning to 'see like an artist' and to use shapes and shading to make our drawings realistic. The children did so well! Here are some photos of them busy at work and of some of the finished work. At the end of the lesson we walked round to see and admire all of the art work around the room.
