The children have described the bears in the story of Goldilocks and the three Bears.  Here are some of the adjectives they came up with.

In Science we have been looking at trees, working out why some lose their leaves while others don't and sorting the leaves into different groups, according to the edges of their leaves: lobed, smooth, spikey and serrated.

We have moved from measuring weight in centimetres to mass.  Mass is what we usually call weight, but the scheme we are following is keen for the children to use the word mass...'the mass of the book is less than the mass of the beebot'.

Next we measured actual weight with cubes.

English

We have started to look at our new story in English "The Three Billy Goats Gruff". The children worked in groups and took turns to read parts of the story ready to act it out tomorrow.

Topic

The children are brilliant at naming the countries that make up the UK, their cities and the seas that surround the United Kingdom. We had a look at the globes to see if we could identify the UK, it was very tricky as we are quite a small country.

The children loved acting out the story of "The Three Billy Goats Gruff". They all took turns and played the different roles in the story. The Troll seemed to be the most popular character, some really great Troll voices were heard with lots of expression!
