This week's star of the week is Joshua

Christian has written a book!  He shared it with our class and then went and read it to Willows and to Mr File.  His reward... a 'YES I CAN' badge!  Mr File and Mrs Ferguson both commented on how beautifully he read it, with great expression.

For the rest of the term in English we are reading the story of The Tiger Who came to Tea, by Judith Kerr.  The children already know the book well - many of them say they have it at home or at their grandparents'.  One child even said he used to have it when he was little!  The children have rehearsed the opening, build-up and most of the problem and they will complete the rest later in the week.  Can they read and act out the story to you?

We made improvements to our boats and then tested to see how well they floated and we put objects on them to see how strong they were.

In Science we measured our bean plants to see how much they had grown in a week.  Sadly some of them were not handled very carefully so now they are bent beans!

There was a performance by a company called FRED.  It was all about mental health and we learnt that these things are important to our mental health: Food, Rest, Exercise, Devices (not to much time spent on them!) ... FRED!

We got to do a silly dance as part of the Exercise!

And last, but by no means least, take a look at this handwriting!  All we need to do now is to remember that good handwriting should be done all the time whenever and wherever we write, not just during handwriting practice.
