Week 1
Happy New Year
Welcome back. We have been super busy these last three days.
We have learnt about New Year and what that means and have been learning the months of the year and the seasons, particularly winter.
We have recapped the sounds we have learnt. We will be going over all of the single sounds this term with more of an emphasis on writing.
We are really trying to concentrate on holding our pencils correctly and our cutting skills this term.
The children will also be building words with the sounds they know and meeting more of them within their reading books.
Please try to encourage reading the tricky words, I have sent a set home and there will be another set following in a few weeks. Remember these are words which do not sound out.
Our learning this term will be based around people who help us such as the Emergency Services.
