Merit Badges this week go to Sophia and Jasmine for their collections of natural objects at forest school.
Gold Awards go to Izzy, Jacob, Aaron and Leo for using the balance scales to balance numicon.
We had our first visit to forest school today. The children had a great time exploring this new area. They made collections and found tunnels to run through and trees to climb.
Our English learning has been the story of the Three little Pigs. We have ordered a story map and joined in with the repeating phrases in the story.
Maths learning has been about the language of weighing such as heavier and lighter. The children used the balance scales to weigh objects and to balance the numicon, a really good way to start number bonds. We have also been making repeating patterns which is a great concept to learn and helps with continuing to see the pattern in all kinds of mathematical learning.
