The children had a great time in the sponsored bounce today!

We have been finding out about the artist Banksy for our whole school display. The children used string and paint to create their own street art.

In DT today the children made Origami boats. We used this traditional art of paper-folding to create a boat without cutting, gluing or taping. The children then tested out their boat to see if it would float with their sweet passenger!

How strange to have so few children in class on a Monday! We are sorry to see so many of you have chickenpox and hope you get better quickly.

Sadly, cricket was cancelled today because the instructor was sick, but at least those of you who were at home didn't miss out.

In maths we are beginning multiplication. In key stage 1 we start this by sharing into equal groups, so it was important for the children to know the words 'equal' and 'unequal' and this was our focus in our first lesson, which was done entirely through play.
