Welcome to Silver Birch class year 3, and welcome back year 4! We hope you have had a wonderful summer holiday, and look forward to getting to know you in the coming weeks and months.
Each week you can take a look at what your children will be learning in our Weekly Overview.
The children have made an excellent start to the term. We have begun looking at Place Value in Maths and had some fun with classification in Science! We look forward to seeing you at the Meet The Teacher session after school next Wednesday.
Classification Venn Diagrams
We had great fun today in Maths measuring prehistoric creatures on the playground! The children used trundle wheels, measuring tapes and metre sticks to find our just how big some of the dinosaurs were!
We enjoyed playing some team games!
We have chosen our garden plot and are beginning to plan which fruit and vegetables we would like to grow!
Computing
In computing this term we are learning all about the Internet. This week we created networks in our table groups and passed messages to each other within our own network via a network switch. We then used a router to pass our messages onto other networks and discussed Internet safety
