Congratulations to Edith and Jacob, who have won the AR challenge for this term - they read a whopping 139,354 and 132,908 words respectively! Everyone has the chance to win next term by reading then taking an AR quiz in school - we'll start again at zero in January.

I'm off on my holidays now, so many thanks for your lovely gifts and cards and Merry Christmas to you all and your families! Have fun and keep safe and I'll see you in 2023!

We've had lots of fun this week so far with Christmas crafts and activities. Unfortunately we haven't been able to get outside as the playground is so icy.

It's Christmas jumpers day tomorrow - so pair up your festive tops with your PE kit and get ready for a delicious Christmas lunch!

The Christingle service will be held on Friday afternoon at the church - we'd love to see you there for this magical service.

We've made it to the last week of term - good work everyone!

With the snow now tumbling and the roads freezing fast, if you can't get in to school, here are some activities that I have planned for children in class for Monday:

Handwriting activity book - complete as much as you can - we will use them throughout the week

Don't worry if you can't print all of the documents - I know there is a lot. Just do what you can. And remember to build a snowman and take a photo that we can upload to show everyone!

Spend some time getting warm indoors reading your book and you can practise your times tables by writing them like we did in class last week (practise 3x, 4x, 6x) or playing games on the computer:

Party Time!

On Thursday we enjoyed a fabulous Christmas Party in the hall with Beech Class. Many thanks to everyone who sent in delicious food! The children had a wonderful time. We played Musical Statues and Musical Bumps, Sleeping Lions and Name That Tune!
