Good afternoon everyone

The end of term creeps ever closer and we seem to get busier every week!  These have been some of this week's highlights in Oak class:

  • We all enjoyed the induction days at our new schools. Some of us only went for one day, others for two. Now we all have a good idea of what life will be like from September.
  • Mrs Cooper visited us again to help up prepare for the transition to secondary school. This week we learnt how to tie our school ties along with organisation skills. Some of us will undoubtedly be more organised than others though!
  • As we have our end-of-year production coming up in a couple of weeks, we were put into pairs to research a particular year of the queen's reign. We have found out about historical and sporting events, fashions and music during each decade from the 1950s onwards.  We have also begun learning some of the songs we will be performing. Come to the production to see the fruits of our labours!
  • Three of us - Gaby, Sabine and Jeremy - were chosen to appear in a BBC interview on school dinners this week. We represented the school really well and enjoyed our moment of fame.

With only two weeks left at Elham School, we are making the very most of our time left here. Next week we have the big camp-out to look forward to and during our last week we will be enjoying a fantastic day of activities at the beach - let's hope the weather stays hot and sunny for us.

Have a super weekend everyone and remember to keep cool.
