This week in maths we have been using written methods for division, including using our times tables facts, and the bus stop method.  In english we have read 3 poems about the Stone Age, and have written our own verses for each one, using the poem's format, structure and features.   They have been very impressive, and some quite funny!  In Topic, we learnt about houses in the Iron Age; how they were different to the Stone and Bronze Age, and why there was a need to build hill forts.  We had a visit from Rev Deb on Tuesday for our RE lesson.  We interviewed her about her thoughts on Incarnation and the Trinity.  She celebrates Christmas in the same ways many of us do, but all the while, thinking about her faith and the miracle of Jesus being God's son.  In computing we use, 'Count-controlled loops'; using the repeat function within our coding.  The children drew simple shapes using Logo, then many of them explored further, and created some incredible patterns!  We revised our knowledge of colours in French to describe the clothes we wear.  We continued with our Lowry pictures in Art, under the watchful eye of our resident artist, Mrs Glass.  In Science we investigated reflective materials and which ones would be best on a school bag to help keep us safe.

Well done all for a super week.  Keep practising times tables and reading your books, along with recording this to show me in the week.
